Creative Mansion is sharing the “LOVE” that started right here in Grafton

North Grafton, MA – This Valentine’s Day, Bergeron Creative Studios, a nationally recognized award-winning branding firm headquartered in North Grafton, Massachusetts, remembers fellow resident and “Father of the Valentine in America”—Jotham Taft.

For years, the Tafts of Grafton have claimed that Jotham was the first to manufacture Valentines in the United States, while others insist that Ester Howland of Worcester, Massachusetts, was the first. “As far as I’m concerned, North Grafton is home to the American Valentine’s Day card,” says Al Bergeron, President and Chief Creative Officer of Bergeron Creative Studios.

Bergeron Creative spent the Super Bowl weekend decorating its headquarters, the Creative Mansion, for the Valentine’s Day holiday. The Creative Mansion is a majestic Greek Revival mansion built in the 1830s. “It’s amazing to think that the Creative Mansion was built right around the time these first Valentines were being printed,” says Bergeron.

The decorations received a parade of car horns blaring approval, waves and thumbs up from passersby. “The feedback from the community on our seasonal decorating is very positive,” said Dara King, Vice President and Social Media Director at Bergeron Creative Studio. “Our Valentine decorations are our way to spread a little love in the local community and with our friends online.
